Ears, Tonsils, Adenoids, Allergies and Sleep Apnoea
An Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) specialist plays a crucial role in the healthcare of children by diagnosing, treating, and managing a wide range of conditions related to the ears, nose, throat, head, and neck.
In this episode we discuss some of the common conditions and reasons children need to see an ENT during their childhood with our ENT Expert Dr Eric Levi. Dr Eric is a Specialist Paediatric Ear, Nose & Throat, Head & Neck Surgeon. He treats general ENT conditions such as hearing loss, ear infections, allergic rhinitis, sinusitis, snoring and sleep apnoea. He also treats and conducts research on other less common conditions.
We cover:
- Some common conditions affecting the ears, including hearing loss, ear infections and treatment options including grommets
- Common conditions affecting the nose including sinusitis, constant dripping nose, allergies, adenoids and nose bleeds
- Conditions affecting the throat, including sleep apnoea, tonsillitis, swallowing difficulties and speech/language difficulties
- Tongue tie, cleft lips/palate and other conditions impacting the mouth
- The process to seek ENT support
- As an ENT what Eric wishes all parents knew
